Mini Review: Lavomatic's Brunch

Does Ohio realize how much more revenue could be produced at restaurants if we could just have a stinking Mimosa on a Sunday morning? I do not understand why we have such anachronistic alcohol laws. Particularly because there's nothing that goes better with eggs benedict than a mimosa.

Conversation between the waiter and me:

"Would you like some dessert, ma'am?"
"No, I'm pretty sure I just ate it..."

(Cherry cordial french toast: tart cherries, brioche, chocolate ganache. Heaven.)

Seriously. I had brunch at Grand Finale yesterday (which was awesome, by the way - they had these poached eggs with bacon and artichoke, which might as well be called Kelly Eggs because they were clearly made just to delight me), and I had to make the reservation for 1 p.m. just so we could have cocktails with our meal. Upsetting!

I love Grand Finale's BLT (Bacon, Lobster and Tomato) deviled eggs. Those are pretty much Julie Eggs. Yum.

Bloody Marys and French 75s run a close second.

Hmm...never been to GF for brunch. Is it acceptable to order dessert after brunch? :)
